This is a wonderful club to play tennis at. The course is beautiful and the food is delicious. All of the staff are wonderful. A great place to spend a day golfing, tennis or at the pool.
We had our Valencia High School Class of 1973 reunion dinner there last weekend and it was delightful. The food was good - nothing special - drinks were good too.
Pretty clubhouse, gorgeous greens, lovely swimming pool, but then it better look like that for a private club as I know what it costs to belong and play there and it's not inexpensive.
This is a horrible "country club." The management is condescending, the food is mediocre, and the course conditions aren't consistent. There just isn't an inviting/warm feeling to this place -- it's so rigid and unpleasant. Renovations were done to the men's den, but since the last time I was there nothing had been done to the women's den. Feminists would not approve. However, I'm not here every day, so renovations could quite possibly have been done to the ladies den since the last time I was there, but I wouldn't count on it since management is alarmingly terrible here. They have been a true disappointment. Overall, the facilities are somewhat outdated.
Regarding the golf course (other than the spotty conditions), it's a tough course because of the trees and other forms of greenery. But in general, there are just long fairways, so one should perfect their driver before coming to this course -- nothing too incredibly challenging or surprising; however, the greens are very fast and you really have to be accurate at reading the breaks because one wrong read will add 3 unwanted strokes to a particular hole. From my experience, just the lightest tap could run the ball off the green at some holes if I read the break incorrectly. The club also provides complimentary iced tea, water, ice, lemons, and coffee.
It's such a shame that this club is so poorly managed by such incompetent, asinine people who handle complications in such a sophomoric manner. We're especially disappointed because it's the only club in our immediate area. Now due to dirty politics, we've decided to put our membership up for sale and join a club that's 30 minutes away. Maybe we'll consider joining again if they change out their entire staff -- this includes upper management and board members, but for now it is what it is.
A very challenging golf course from the back tees. You must hit your drives in the proper postion on many holes to have a decent shot to the green. The greens are fast and true. You do not want to get above the hole and have to putt downhill. A variety of tees helps. Bring your A game if you choose to play the Black tees. The club personel are very helpful and friendly. Pace of play is very acceptable. Great tennis and pool.
Excellent practice facilities to improve your game. A nice private club with good amenities and social events
I'm a member here and I can honestly say that the staff here is super nice and always polite. the greens are a bit fast but what fun would it be without a challenge? :D it is a bit pricey as well, if you're a member the due's are $500 a month after the initial membership fee and to play as a guest it is about $100 but i think its definitely worth it.
