The golf course is a short course, not a full one. The food is bland- but they are revamping the menu, and hiring a new chef- hopefully soon. They do a cozy feel inside though- very old English.
This is a very run-of-the-mill north shore country club.
The course is ok...membership waspy...and the food bland.
We had my grandmother's 80th birthday party here and they did a beautiful job. The food was excellent, as was the service. The view is lovely, and the dining room is light and airy. We spent Easter there this year and the buffet was really good. Always a nice experience.
The first word that comes to mind is 'tranquil.' You must come with a member and wear a collared shirt if you want to golf here, and expect to pay quite a chunk to walk the greens. Or, maybe they'll let you join with the proper recommendations. The clubhouse and golf course were remodeled in 1994, and it's a beautiful club in a pretty, wooded area. Excellent kitchen - have had some wonderful brunches.
