I have been playing golf for 45 years, playing many beautiful courses, and this is the nicest course I have ever experienced. From the staff doing all they could to make you comfortable and well taken care of, to the beautiful course conditions. Thank you for a great time.
He would play this course again.
This course is probably one of the longest tracks I play on a semi regular basis. It's probably a bit too long with long irons for most of my second shots.
The greens are tricky, fairly quick and the sand is WONDERFUL. ( I was in it enough, I should know)
It's unforgiving but terrific. Play it if you can. It's in great shape.
He would play this course again.
This review is actually for Copper, not the country club itself.
We went here to celebrate a birthday and I really enjoyed myself. The atmosphere is a little classy and really warm and welcoming. I loved that it was a bit dark.
The food - absolutely delicious. I had pork chops and I ate every last bit of food on my plate. The portion might have been a little small, but it may have only seemed that way because it was so good that I simply wanted more. Others in my party seemed to have similar experiences. The food was good all around. A little pricey for an average dinner, but I'd go back.
My boyfriend and I went to Copper dine &drink this past Friday for date night. We made reservations for 7pm and weren't seated until about 7:20p. (kind of frustrating but the bar was an option)
Copper Dine and Drink is located on Walnut Hills Golf Course. Upon walking into Copper, I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a mix of all types of people, students, golfers, families, really enjoyable. It was definitely a busy night so we didn't mind a cocktail at the bar. It was there that I notice their fire place and big windows that open up to the golf course. The fire place had the neatest display and I loved how urban the decor was.
Our waiter, Jordan, was AMAZING! He was honest and entertaining and recommended great food items. You can tell he knew a lot about the menu (which is a plus) and was very informative. Jordan was very pleasant and didn't mind conversation with us. I really think he put this experience over the top and was one of the best waiters I've had.!
We started out with an appetizer, Baked Brie. Great choice! Not only do I love Brie, the compote, pears and black berries, was a new approach for me with brie but complimented it so well!
He ordered the Caesar salad and I opted for the Butternut squash soup. You have a choice of soup\ salad with your entree. The butternut squash reminded me of fall. The Caesar salad had great taste and I enjoyed their dressing.
For our entree, he ordered the Crusted Salmon and I had the Grilled Arctic Char Picatta. The Arctic Char was delightful. The caper sauce was the perfect addition to this course. It lay over perfectly cooked asparagus and Gold yukon mashed potatoes. It was a pretty good sized serving.( I don't eat much so I'd recommend it to all but especially the fellas. )
I had a bite of the Crusted Salmon and thought it was delicious as well. It was served with roasted red potatoes and asparagus. It was a moderate sized portion but I think the perfect portion.
For desert we shared the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with the lovely berry compote that was presented with he Brie. At this point I was too full to function but had a few nibbles. A great way to finish the dining experience! It was light and creamy and not to sweet. Perfect.
For all of you looking for a fun and upbeat dining experience, check out Copper dine and drink. We didn't know it was there but thanks to Groupon we discovered a great place to dine. It's a little pricey but definitely worth it. Also, sit in Jordan's section.
