My family joined WCCC in the spring of 2011. We have been coming here for years though, because my husband's family has belonged to this club for over 25 years. I love love love that there is a "young" (by that I mean 25-45 years) crowd of members that attend all sorts of fun events that the club has to offer. There are spa nights, wine tastings, charity events, 4th of July Fireworks, etc. etc. The food from the lunch and dinner menu (which changes with the seasons) is top notch. The patio seating is a plus in the summertime. The golf course is beautiful and well maintained, although, they have had some recent issues with flooding that has caused headaches for the die-hard golfers.
I brought my two boys to the pool quite often this summer. The pool is huge and has ample shade and sun seating, as well as an eating area with it's own lunch menu and a bar area. I was slightly disappointed that the other families were not friendlier at the pool. I am a very outgoing individual and normally I do not have difficulty making friends quickly. I don't think anyone approached me or introduced themselves to me (as the new member) all summer.
Lack of new friends aside, I do like going to the club. My boys love it. They took golf, tennis and swimming lessons last summer and had tons of fun. They met lots of new friends. At least someone did ;)
