This Place is has the aura of being (weather they were or not I don't know) in episodes of Magnum and the original Hawaii 5-0 TV show. DJ a private 16 year old BDAY party here. Bathrooms were impeccable. plenty of parking. right on the Pacific Ocean.
Enjoyed my afternoon here, great food.
My son got married at Waialae Country Club this past weekend. We were there for the entire weekend so this review will cover all of the activities.
It started with the rehearsal on Saturday where Kay was helpful in making suggestions regarding logistics for the ceremony. Following the rehearsal, they had a pool party for the wedding party and many out of town guests. They had a large tent to make sure that the guests didn't end up sun burned and it was perfect as the day was a bit rainy. Food was good, and the folks at Waialae made sure we had everything we needed...refilling ice and food. We also had Windward Snow there making shaved ice so Waialae made sure we had access to electricity and a table.
Sunday morning we had brunch for about 30 people...they set us up in a private room so the family could mingle and really hang out...the brunch there is always soooo good. Lots of choices...fruits, cereals, breads and pastries, smoked salmon, plain white and fried rice, tater tots, ham, linked sausage and the omelet bar "made to order". They also have the BEST Belgium waffles with all of the "fixings" (butter, whipped cream, chopped mac nuts, chocolate syrup and strawberries), and bread pudding. You can even order your omelet with whites only or egg beaters. We had a server making sure we had water, coffee and whatever beverage we needed. Perfect!
Later that day, was the main event....The Wedding....love the abundant free parking! Everything at Waialae is so convenient. Easy access to everything....The ceremony was held just outside the Clubhouse with an Ocean setting, just inside they had monitors with a video running and they also had a photo booth available which proved to be so much fun for everyone.
Tahiti Rey provided live music prior to and for the ceremony. Following the wedding, the bride and groom had to sign the marriage certificate and take family photos.
Waialae was right on key with the timing of getting the "pupus and cocktails" out for the guests so they had something to do while the bridal party "did their thing".
The reception was decorated so beautifully! Flower Girls did the flowers and Waialae did the rest. Service was impeccable...Everything went so smoothly...Tahiti Rey provided live music so they were set up to near the ceremony then moved into the reception area to provide music for the bride/groom/parent dance and dinner music.
The food was delicious! From the salads to the entrees and on to the desserts and beverages...it was all perfectly presented and the carved lamb rack was amazing!
Following the dinner, there was the traditional banzai and a few short speeches then on to Casino Night!~
Waialae was perfect! Lots of space for each of the activities and all laid out and positioned to perfectly so each part of the event went so smoothly!
Best of all, when it was all done, the folks at Waialae Country Club took care of everything...It could not have been more perfect....
The bride and groom are from out of town so they had to do everything from afar and I'm so impressed that it all went so smoothly! Says a lot for the great pre-planning and amazing execution of the staff at Waialae County Club. Thank you Waialae!
Been here several times with girlfriends. Staff is really friendly, view is great. Well-maintained. Buffet is reasonable (both in price and quality) for a country club.
Overall, not bad at all.
Excellent food and service
