Very nice little course out never Denver, NC. I had the chance to play here just the other day and the level of care for the fairways and greens are apparent from the very first hole. Particularly I like the fact the second cut isn't too deep.
The fairways are pretty wide and even for a hack golfer like me it makes for a very enjoyable day of golf. Staff was very friendly and nothing was overpriced in my opinion. Beer cart was around quite often so as to make sure you don't get too thirsty.
It is a little off the beaten path but man is it ever worth the short drive west of Lake Norman. This course rivals much more pricey establishments with impeccable grounds and a breathtaking backdrop of rolling hills and beautiful homes. This track will challenge and delight the novice as well as the low handicapper. In my opinion it is the best public facility in the Charlotte market for the money.
This course is straight up sexy. VR is one of the nicest courses in the area. It can play long from the back and they are a lot of shots that you need to hit good to clear hazards. The fairways are wide open so you can pretty much grip and rip every hole. They just installed Bermuda greens in August of 2012 and wow are they awesome. There is some great scenery and decent elevation changes. Its no wonder that its been used for qualifying before. This is a must play course in Charlotte
