Don't bother. I was a big fan of The Legends golf course about 5 years ago, however, it has gone downhill. My father and I played this course on 10/13/2012 and we both vowed never to play again for the following reasons:
No starter or ranger present on the course. We were a 2 some on this day, and had a cart, and played behind a threesome walking the whole way. We played from the tips and they were playing from the whites (I was tempted to fly a drive right over them and take the liberty of playing through as they would not let us play through). The foursome behind us said they would have called the clubhouse but they knew they would do nothing (I guess they play here often and are okay with the slow play).
The course was in HORRIBLE shape. I know we have had a tough year for the golf courses, but come on....the fairways were hit or miss and check out the picture of the bunkers I've attached. I have never played a course before where HUGE ROCKS were in the bunkers, EVERY bunker. They obviously bought cheap sand and didn't bother to rake them. It appears they have cut their maintenance to the bare minimum.
You could even see where old sand bunkers had been neglected and turned into quasi grass pot bunkers.....kind of funny.
On a positive side, the hot dog at the turn was 5 star!
Legends is a great course. It has 27 holes + a par 3. It is a fair difficulty - a significant amount of sand and a good deal of water. The rough just beside the fairway is very forgiving.
I walked 18 holes for $25 on a Tuesday.
Great place to golf. Even though I am not at all a golfer -this course's staff made me feel comfortable out on the green. They have great greens, a large course, great pavillion, etc. Had a great time.
