A great course. I have been fortunate to play there several times as a guest of my friend, who is a member. The course is very challenging but fair. It is in great shape. The practice facility is first class. The people who work there are very attentive and polite. If you're lucky, you might see Phil Mickelson playing or practicing.
Each hole stands on it's on
Greens are impeccable
Staff is very professional
Food and drink are amazing
Great practice facility
very nice locker room / facilities
No pool so it is more of a golf club than a country club
Not sure when Pete G played but i just played in their member guest and the course was in fantastic condition. Greens running 11-12, fairways perfect. What a great track. Now know why Mickelson plays here so much.
I was invited to play this course last week and had a great experience! Locker rooms were in clean condition, no waiting (we finished in 3.5 hours), great tuna sandwich, and challenging (but fun) course.
This golf club used to be one of the crown jewels of the Rancho Santa Fe valley- that was until they renovated the facility to make it more user friendly. All I will say is that they pretty much ruined the entire golf course.
Major dirt patches in the middle of the fairways make the experience less than desirable.
With the rounds of golf being played here daily down to a minimum due to the economy, I wouldn't dare eat anything from the snack bar considering I wouldn't trust how long the food has probably been sitting around.
All in all, I really wish this club the best but for now I will be turning down any future invites. Do yourself a favor and pass as well, you will be better served waiting in the long lines to play Torrey Pines. At least there you will have some epic views of the ocean.
