Played there today for the first time ever and was pleasantly surprised. Nice layout and in great shape. I live down in south Calgary and it's worth the drive out there (maybe one or twice a year). No bugs and just a slight breeze today so it was a great golfing day. Course is walkable but there is some distance between a few holes (they could use a few more shortcuts for walkers and mark the directions to the next hole better). Greens were nice and fast and in great shape, but lots of tiers made for some tough putts. Fairways were in great shape and the fescue was sparse enough where you could take the extra stroke and not have to deal with losing your ball. I would put this course in the same league as D'Arcy Ranch for quality (and price).
Excellent golf course.
I usually take advantage of their weekend twilight rate at 45 dollars walking. Very reasonable price in Calgary area. Green are challenging, some have large elevation different between pin high and pin low.
Tee boxes, fair ways and green are very well kept. Course layout are very good. Friendly staff, and small club house.
I highly recommend this course. One of my favourite course to golf in Calgary.
Fantastic gem located 15 minutes east of Deerfoot on Country Hills Boulevard.
Pros - $65 Dollar round (walking and carrying) the walk is easy, the fairways are great, and the greens are immaculate and roll true.
Cons - bugs, wind(its to be expected in Calgary) and small clubhouse
I have made this course my early season favourite as the bugs are not out in full force, the grounds crew does a great job getting the course ready, and the fescue is not fully grown.
For the price you wont find a better course in and around the Calgary area minus K-Country.
