This course is garbage. There is no green grass, the entire course is brown and dirt. The staff is unfriendly and has no idea what they are doing. The new ownership ruined the course and are driving it into the ground. this course was so much better a couple years ago when the management actually cared about the course and knew something about golf. It is a shame cause this used to be a nice course and now I will never go back.
In addition to that no one on the course would replace the flag after they finished a hole so me and my buddy would never know where the hole was on the green.
I don't recommend this course to anyone.
Pretty good deal for the price ... long at over 7K yds, solid slope rating ... could be nicer if they would invest in upkeep, but at the $17 price that I paid yesterday, it is very fair.
This golf course is really starting to improve under its new ownership. And you can't beat it for the price!
I drove out to Arvin to play this course after reading a few good reviews...I should've saved my gas. This course is awful. The greens aren't treated so putting is pretty much useless. The fairways are more dirt than grass and on average, have three dead birds. In fact, there was a headless bird on one of the tee boxes...absolutely disgusting. This golf course isn't worth the $28 greens fee, and for me to return, somebody would have to pay me. You're better off going to any one of Bakersfield's munis or Riverlakes...or really, you might be better off going to a cow pasture.
Kinda out in the sticks, but only 20 minutes or less for Bakersfield metro.
I think it's a great course, plenty of length over 7000 yards from the tips. Nothing fancy, but a great price and when I went, not too crowded. We went at the crack of dawn on a Saturday. Green fees include range balls, what a deal!
