Played this course for the first time yesterday and had a great time. Certainly a challenging and unique course. There's a lot of water. Some decent sized ponds, but a lot of small creeks to avoid. The coarse itself is pretty wide-open though there are a handful of corridors off the tee.
The greens are massive. And they play very slowly. Very easy to 3-putt (or even worse) on this course. It seems like you have to putt nearly twice as hard to get the same distance on the roll. Certainly like no other coarse I've played, but in a good way.
We saw a handful of deer, crane and even a hawk while playing.
The value is great at Stonehenge. Many courses charge significantly more and have a lot of pretentiousness you don't have to deal with at Stonehenge. This place is all about the game. Will certainly be playing here again. Great experience.
A great private golf course. There is a waiting list that takes some time but it is definitely worth the wait. The owners and staff are really nice. The course is challenging. A lot of my friends look at the front 9 and say it is easy. When they play they see the difficulty in the course. It is challenging. The back 9 has tighter fairways and more trees. Members can bring along guests. Excellent golf course and great service!
