cons: holy motherf**ker the greens
this place is a fantastic value for being in or around atlanta. a nice slightly challenging course for $35 with cart. the problems come when you step onto the greens. they are HORRIBLE, there might be 2-3 greens that aren't awful. giant areas of burned off grass, dirt and sand, and other atrocities. sometimes it is so bad, we say that if you are on the green, we mark a 2 putt and move on. id honestly rather them have a crappy fairway, than the worst greens i've ever seen in my life. put some money into maintaining those greens, and i would play here every week and it would get a 4 star review.
Most daunting - 3rd Hole, Par 3, 211 yards.
An ominous 75+ foot elevation drop from the tips for the weekend hacker, looming trees
on right and gobbling gulch on left. Requires a straight shot to a two-tiered green that
slides from right to left.
For glory - 18th hole, Par 5, 512 yards.
Aim your lake drive at Stone Mountain. But note - the safer left will require an incredulous
blind second shot with an intimidating inlet waiting to ruin your dreams ;)
