The last time I played here was a year ago, and it was a died-out mess at that time, a victim of reduced maintenance and a Sahara-desert watering schedule. But ten years ago this was an easy 3-4 stars, and I just heard a rumor a local businessman had just bought out the previous owner, so things may be coming back around soon. I am giving it two stars because with any watering and care at all, this course could easily come back to some of its previous lustre. I will be going by every few months now to see how things are coming along.
do not bother the gophers own the course now and they still expect to charge $48.00 for green fees with a cart!? un playable fairways and no greens what so ever! needs to be sold and used to play this course when i was a kid, loved every time i played it.
WORST COURSE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!.. I often look for good deals on golf rates and thought I found one for $20 with a cart at this course. I made the drive from Fresno to play the course for the first time and when these eyes got their first look at the course from the parking lot, disappointment and disgust is an understatement. From the parking lot the course looked like it was in very bad shape (gopher holes/mounds, greens had patches of tall grass, sand traps had grass/weeds growing from middle of trap)... There was no good deal to be had, only a waste of time and gas driving to this shabby thing they claim to be a golf course... on a 1-5 scale with 5 being amazing and let's just say Airways golf course got a 5 (I know in the real world Airways is like a 1) I would give Selma Valley Golf Course a 0..
