My husband and I chose to get married here because of Lisa. We liked the venue because it was pretty and inexpensive, but ultimately we couldn't imagine working with anyone else to plan the most important day of our lives. Whatever SJCC is paying her - it isn't enough. This woman can move mountains.
She's so fun and easy to talk to, and I truly felt like I could ask her anything or suggest anything and she would a) give me honest advice and b) do whatever was in her power to make my dreams come true. She did an amazing job running our rehearsal the day before. She coordinated with all our vendors and made the day-of run amazingly smoothly. She helped to design all the furniture setup and provided many resources and much encouragement. She partnered so well with my DJ to keep the event organized and on time. She brought me a sandwich when I was starving at 3pm and offered to try to clean my dress when I got tire grease on it. I think I probably owe her my first born for how much she did for us.
The SJCC itself is such an amazing package deal, even without Lisa (but really, Lisa is the best part!). We used the indoor ceremony space, since our wedding was in February. Then our guests moved to the cocktail hour space, then to the reception room. The food was fantastic - really fantastic - every single menu item (and it's not expensive). And they handled everyone's food restrictions so well. The silent victor of the evening was definitely the chef, whoever he is. The wait staff were all so kind and helpful. They truly created a delightful and warm atmosphere.
The space comes with many resources: tables, chairs, china, flatware, stemware - no rentals required. We chose to replace the red chairs they have with silver chivari chairs, and Lisa coordinated that for us. The unique linens we chose were complimentary.
If you're on a budget and want a venue that is warm, convenient, and lovely - choose the SJCC.
This country club is very beautiful with gorgeous grounds. The main room has lots of space with room to spare. My favorite feature of the clubhouse is the wraparound balcony that has spectacular views of the greens and of the valley below.
The staff were very friendly but it came to my attention during a brunch here that they do not accept card at the bar. Only cash. I found this to be rather odd, especially for such an establishment. They didn't even have an ATM. That and the fact that parking is limited here. So for a big event, expect to park on the street near the entrance of the club.
Our high school reunion enjoyed a brunch at the Country Club on Sunday, and everything about it was perfect. The food was great, the room quiet and beautiful, and the personnel gracious. The best thing about the entire event was working with Lisa. What a dream! She made everything easy and pleasant; she went overboard in accommodating us with last-minute details we needed; she was calm, smiling and always at the ready.
I had the opportunity to work with the SJCC for a wedding last year and LOVED it. Lisa was an absolute dream to work with and the wedding was just amazing. The staff was nice and well informed and so helpful with any little thing that needed to be done. At one point we were driven around for photos and the gentleman helping us was so accommodating and stopped when we needed him to, and made the ride fun and safe.
The grounds are amazing, and they have the most amazing light that filters through the oak trees. I can't wait to go back for another wedding there!
Awesome golf course! Staff is courteous and respectful. I love this place!
