Royston Golf Club was established in 1892 and is home to a course with a bit of a twist, as it is set within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Therfield Heath. Therfield Heath is renowned for its exquisite flora and wild orchids that can be seen throughout your round. The club is situated above the town of Royston and is renowned for its fantastic views over the three surrounding counties. This heathland course measures 6,042 yards and with a par of just 70 it has earned a reputation as being a true test of golf. Every hole is unique, offering an array of challenges that you must overcome, including 2 par-3’s that stretch over 220 yards, as well as drivable par-4’s and drastic changes is undulation throughout. The 340 yard 18th hole is a fantastic finale, providing a breath-taking view across Royston town from the tee. Despite what the card says, this hole is driveable and is a great way to end an unforgettable round.
