P1 - Use to not be a big fan of the course itself primarily because of condition of teebox/greens. New ownership recently stepped in and has already made some drastic improvements. Greens are great right now and the course is always very healthy. Layout is very interesting and gives you the chance to hit alot of different shots. Not what you would call a boring course. Great for scrambles being that alot of the holes have risky shots you normally wouldnt go for during a normal round. Sweet deal on weekend ($36 for 18, cart, beer, hotdog/brat) cant beat that. Looking forward to the ever improving condition of the course...check it out.
P2 - Clubhouse has amazing food. Will gladly show up an hour early to get breakfast and cant wait to finish to get one of their burgers. Sweet new dinner menu with the best fried chicken around. Cute waitresses is pretty standard at the Ridge and the beer is cold and cheap.
The Ridge, offers golfers a fairly memorable 18 hole golf outing at a decent price ($24 all you can play after 3 w/ cart). The course is kept up very nicely on the fairways and greens, but the tee boxes can be taken for granted by the grounds crew.
The actual golf course set up is pretty good for a public golf club. Doglegs on most longer holes, hills and valleys throughout the course. It has water on several holes that make for risky shots, and demands club selection a little bit harder. The scenery is also pretty simplistic, but most of the course is wooded and seems natural.
The club house is fairly small, but the food is better than expected, and the beer is cold and cheap. If in the area and are looking for a decent place to play, definitely worth checking out.
