Very pretty venue for a wedding with very helpful staff! I came here last week to help with set up for a friend's wedding and the administrator Kim and the janitorial staff were all very helpful in getting us set up with a dolly to transport things as well as helping us clear away a few boxes too.
I also saw that the event manager and chef checked in with both one of our set-up crew and the wedding planner, so they are definitely very organized.
In terms of the actual evening the food was delicious! Perfectly roasted prime rib and succulent duck were on the buffet menu, and my husband went for a mad hunt for more mushroom raviolis even though each one of them is sooo buttery (but sooo good!).
I haven't tried the actual golfing facility so I'll have to withhold my final star pending that (I have to learn how to play golf first); I would recommend getting some bug spray though if you're outside in the evening, with it being Richmond (and a golf course being near the water and having its own water traps) I was devoured by mosquitoes by the end of the night.
I came here for dinner with Gary on a Sunday evening. We splurged. Enjoyably we both tried the half Caesar which has it's large double finger focaccia crouton on the side (in case you were worried about eating bread). Gary ordered the rack of lamb (4 ribs) and the creamy cheesecake. I had the tenderloin steak and the chocolate lava cake for dessert. We shared everything-I'd totally recommend it! All dishes were top notch. Exotic tastes and smooth seasoning. I found myself wishing for more veggies (or garnish) but in retrospect found the portions on the whole perfect. A drip coffee with milk topped it all off. I would love to go again.
We come here to eat because my dad has a membership here.
The place is beautiful; perfect for a wedding if anyone is looking for a locations.
The food is good but overpriced. I would stick with the lamb and possible the ravioli if they are offering. Otherwise, everything else is just okay.
I came here for a wedding. It was gorgeous facility with the beautiful back drop of the golf greens. Unfortunately there is only one swan right now as his/her partner passed away recently. =(
I also came here for their monthly buffet, food was decent but of course the view was better.
My friends play golf here 3 x a week and love it.
I've been to many events here and I must attest to it's vivid beauty. Just at the edge of the Dyke, it provides a perfect backdrop for weddings and many other fancy events.
Catering staff are all wonderful and the booking process from beginning to end is well thought out and smooth.
Although I have only been here for events and yet to play a round of golf here, the course itself is well manicured and excellently landscaped.
