Nice enough course. Some nice landscaping. Problem was we had the first tee time (6:30), but they sent some people off before us walking while we were on carts. However those people let us play through, very courteous. When we came to make the turn they had started people off the back 9, again walking. Bad idea. Not happy with that.

Pontiac CC is really a great value for a nice layout, old-school feel, which is easy to walk.  There are NO bad hole designs here.  Interestingly, three of the holes have 2 different greens, so the layout can really change from day to day.  While this isn't the Orchards or Shepherd's Hollow, the course is manicured very nicely, and the greens always seem to be in great shape.

It's a fairly short course at 6300 yards, and there's the oddball 230 yard par 3 16th in the end of it, but a nice mix of short and a few longer holes.  You won't need to hit driver on every tee box here, and often position is more important than distance.

I will say, however, that it's a bit too long from the women's tees.  IMO, women's tees should NOT play over 5000 yards, and this measures in a 5340.
