This is one of my favorite public courses. I get the exercise during the 9 hole walk. The course is managed well. It's convenient to my home and I can meet fellow golfers on an early Sunday morning.
Great course. Forces novice players to work on accuracy and irons. Friendly staff.
Good afterwork 9 hole course. Friendly staff which always works to get you in. Some challenging holes! Good public course!
Good snack bar before and after!
I like Pinecrest. As they say: "it is what it is" (a short 9 hole public course).
1. narrow fairways - - teach the importance of accuracy.
2. risk/reward holes - - challenge you to see what you can really do out there.
3. nice putting green.
4. friendly staff.
1. only 9 holes.
2. only one or two holes that let you really rip it off the tee.
3. no real driving range.
4. some of the bunkers need better sand and irrigation.
For the price, it's a very good value and an excellent use of two hours of your life.
Not very challenging -- or a boost to your golf ego (depending on your point of view) -- but a reasonably- priced way to spend 2 hours.
And yes, the 8th is cool/evil (depending....)
