We came here for a family function and had a great time, good food and nice facilities.
The golf course won't "wow" you but it's one of the best gems in Chicago. The fairways are narrow and tree lined so accuracy will reward you. Deviate off of that and you better have a good punch shot. If you're straight and accurate, shooting your best round could happen.
The course is over a 100 years old and is on a small plat of land so I thought the folks there did a great job with what they have. It's mostly a family country club so the members are on the younger side. I also met a fair number of "normal" members...not your typical snobby country club uppity ups. I found the membership (at least the handful of guys i met) to be very accommodating, polite and genuine.
I met Mo in their 19th hole, who seems to worked there forever. He was as nice as it gets. Mike Carter, who works the shoe shine booth, was the best i've ever had. Within 15 minutes of completing my round, Mike had my shoes polished like new with brand new spikes.
All in all, PRCC is a great course with a congenial membership and dynamite service. You won't walk away saying the course was on par with Pebble Beach but for a private suburban course, it's a diamond in the rough (forgive the pun).
It's a very aswesome place.
They just redid the course, but as the old saying goes...you can't polish a turd.
Very beautiful place and excellent service and food! Went to a Christmas(Holiday) party here last night. Not my usual kind of hang-out,but we were not made to feel out of place or like "the help"(to quote an infamous yelper!!).Not that we're total idiots who don't know how to act in public, but we are definitely more of a casual crowd. The host of the party was very generous and we had a good time!!
