They need to make sure golf balls dont hit the residental houses. Cars have been damages and golf balls have been as far as other people's backyards inside their pools.
For a classy gold course this place sure doesn't prevent residental houses from being hit.
Doesn't look like anyone has given this place a review for its golf course, which is funny considering that that is its main function. Originally, I would have given this course 5 stars. A remarkably intimate and challenging set up tucked in the Palos Verdes peninsula that offers some exceptional views, yet more importantly some championship quality playing conditions. Even the best of putters will find their game challenged on the short stuff here...very undulated greens with ocean breaks make this a bad putter's worst nightmare. Now, reason I decline to yield to a 5 star review is because of the recent renovation. Sure, they did some necessary improvements like fixing the 1st green so it no longer sits at a 90° incline, but what they did wrong was the removal of too many established trees. Sure, it opens up some views, but it detracts from the game. A lot of the trees made you feel confined and forced you to shape shots...now on a number of holes you are free to grip it and rip it. Why do I feel that gripping it and ripping it is a detractable factor?! Most courses now don't require a lot of shot shaping...you just hit the ball and a lack of imagination is okay. This course still requires some serious thinking, but not like it used to. It's lost some of its "old golf world charm".
All in all though, if you have a chance to get out, play this course!
Last time I came here it was for their Sunday Brunch. Yesterday night, I came for dinner. They serve a "Bistro Menu" which contains a few selections of appetizers, salads, burgers, entrees and desserts. You can also choose to make your own salad or create your own burger. For the appetizer, we ordered the asparagus fries. These were really good! I created my own salad with seared tuna. It was really filling and amazing. The service was also perfect. I really enjoy eating here!
Mother's Day brunch was great. As always polite attentive staff , good food , ocean views. You should have been here!
I just attended a funeral celebration here, it was a lovely setting to reflect and enjoy the afternoon. The food was good, as was the service.
We were in the main dinning room, which is spacious and could easily fit 200 people. Parking was easy and the golf course backdrop was idyllic.
