I have golfed at this course 3 times and had a great time. Went to make a reservation this last time and they were pretty rude. I'm sure it's not the norm. But I was pretty disappointed in the service so they lost a star.
Played for the first time at Oso Beach. The course itself is not very difficult. A par 70 in pretty decent condition -- especially for the hot summer. The neighborhood it is in is not anything to write home about. There are some ratty houses and chain link fences.
However, every member of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Have you ever played a course where you can't even get your tee in the ground because it is so dry? Oso was the opposite. I've only played on one or two other courses where your tee goes into the tee box like butter, and certainly didn't expect that from a city run course. Overall a good golfing experience at a fair price.
