I participated in a golf event here, for a trade association. The course seemed very capable of accommodating a relatively large group - I'm guessing 100+ participants in a shotgun start on a hot day. The greens and fairways were in good condition - lush and green, despite many days of high temps and low rainfall. Greens and fairways were challenging. Club house seemed to be well appointed. Ample practice range and practice putting area.
Two gripes. First, we were not provided, nor could find a course map. Not having played the course, this made the 'blind' holes difficult to play.
Second, the club is accessed off of a rural, two-lane highway without shoulders. It is easy for a first-timer to not see the club access road, and there is not a should onto which one can go to slow-down and prepare to make the turn. In other words, the surprise corner could compell a driver to stop suddenly on a highway - a dangerous scenario, especially if there is a car following closely behind.
Had Valentines dinner there Saturday nite. It was fantastic. started off with a white bean, spinach soup with shrimp. That was way too much food and too delicious. Then a flash fried shrimp pasta ,just couldnt eat it all Pam had a tenderloin, had to doggy bag most of it, we eat here alot and its always the great! Very good wine selection. It is a private club but if you get the chance to eat there do it!
