Just recently played here for the first time and at first site, seemed like a decent course. I moved up here from the Carolina's where there is a great course on every corner so I have had some tough times finding good, quality courses in the area. With that said, I want to get back here during the summer to give it a full, fair shot.

Aside from being very short, the layout on the back nine is inviting for those who can score. Unfortunately, the front nine was closed due to flooding and the back was walking only. If they would state that up front or call those who make a tee time with that information, that would be helpful. The driving range also doesn't open until 9:30 on the weekends so if you have a tee time earlier than that, you can only warm up on the putting green.

The course itself was a bit weird to get to as the clubhouse is in the lower level of a large family restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating which is a plus. I assume due to the conditions, they didn't have any maintenance done in the morning that we played as it did not seem they blew the leaves off the greens.

Overall, a decent experience but would like to give it another try when the season comes back around. Again, easy to score well due to the distance and lack of challenge - many holes on the back were just straight shots with the exception of one.

My search for the go-to course will continue but you cannot beat this place for the price, especially when they offer their Groupon deals!

I basically spent my whole summer playing Norwood Country Club this season ~ loved every minute of it , the staff are courteous and the players I met where more than friendly and competitive...the course was kept in great shape by the greens keeper and crew ( thanks guys ) , and the prices are the cheapest around for the quality of golf they provide...Finally I would just like thank all the pro shop and club house personal and hopefully I'll be back and spent another summer with you !

Sincerely ,
Greg ~

Great course! The course is wonderful and I had a great time playing here. The driving range is also very fun and enjoyable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back to play here!

Just played 18 holes (back 9 twice as the front nine was aerated).  We should have been suspicious when they had a special - 18 holes for $28, cart included.

I can honestly say that I have never played on a course in worse condition.  There were literary no fairways, the tee boxes were just a maze of weeds.  The greens were in pretty good shape, but the rough was unplayable with overgrown brush.

Sterling Golf should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of this course.

I played here in late spring on a day with excellent weather. Greens and fairways were in good condition but I can see where either a rainy or a hot season could demote this to minus-one-stars.

When I checked in and said I had a 1:10 tee-time the guy said they don't do tee-times on weekends. When I asked why I'd been given one when calling in two days earlir, he went and fumbled through his computer and found I did have one. Other than that he was OK about it. I suspect you could show up without a tee-time and still do OK.

As many have pointed out this is a dull layout - flat and straight holes back and forth with few features. It feels like you're playing the same holes over and over. Few sandtraps and the ones I saw had dirt and pebbles, not sand. I didn't hit any of them but if I did I'd take a free-drop out.

Majority of holes only had a 150-yard marker and I suspect many of those were inaccurate - either that or I'm hitting my irons 20 percent longer.

The front nine went fast but on the back nine we were stuck behind a very slow and rude foursome who refused to let our twosome play through. Still, we made it around in 3 and half hours which surprised me.

With a senior discount I paid only $21 for 18 on a Saturday afternoon which is less than many 9-hole courses cost.

All things considered I had a good time and, weather permitting, would look at this course as more of an advanced driving range to practice on.
