I was looking up the address for N.S.C.C. and was surprised to see it listed here at Yelp, but with no reviews yet. You do have to be (or be invited by) a member to even walk in the door, so not sure how useful of a review this will be to many, but here goes. North Shore Country Club is old school, north shore fun times, with the emphasis on OLD. We had dinner there last Friday night, and I felt like I was sitting at the kid's table at Thanksgiving (three people at our table were in their '30's and clearly the youngest people there). I'm talking one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel clientele. I would never look a gift horse in the mouth though, and thoroughly enjoyed my lamb chops and madras cocktails, and creme brule dessert. The menu has your pretty typical steak house offerings (chops, filets, etc.). The room was surprisingly lively, and very warm and homey. A lot of people know each other, stopped at our table and said hello. I would think that many of the people in the room have probably been having Friday night dinner at North Shore every Friday for the last 30 years or more.
If you're a golfer, you will love the course, and from what I understand, the men's locker room is really nice (plasma screen t.v'.'s, bar, etc.). The women's locker room is also nice and has everything that you would need (except for make-up), although no plasma screens or bar. The staff has that quiet & efficent thing going on, which is always a plus with me. I guess I would probably give another star if the food was a little more exciting. But overall, a solid four stars.
