I was here for my best friend's wedding and it was a a great venue! SO BEAUTIFUL! The villa the bride and her family stayed in was so nice. They have a wonderful golf course. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor room at the wedding. I would highly suggest this venue if you were looking for a wedding venue or a great game of golf.
We just had our baby shower at Nicklaus Club and it was so beautiful and perfectly planned. The new Event Coordinator, Lindsey, is incredibly sweet and patient. It makes her the perfect coordinator and host to these events. She is also very easy going. My husband and I left all the details up to her and I don't think I could have planned a better shower myself!
The club is beautiful and a perfect spot for such an event. Lindsey was detail oriented to pick out pregnancy-friendly foods for our guests. We had a nautical themed shower and she renamed all the foods to go with our theme. The foods were delicious too!
I had mentioned our love of popcorn and she set up a small make-your-own popcorn and candy bar. I loved it and was so appreciative to have her handle all the details. It definitely took the stress off of this mommy-to-be's shoulders.
If I have the opportunity to host another event I will absolutely do it at Nicklaus Club with Lindsey. She's the best!
I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt obligated to share a great experience with anyone looking for a special event venue in the Monterey area.
I was attended a wedding at the Nicklaus Club this past Sunday. I was not part of the family, just a "plus one". I don't have any insight to the process or experience you may have setting up your event, but will say as a guest and in the hospitality industry....it was amazing.
The setting is beautiful and does not require you to alter it in anyway. We sat and watched the ceremony on the back lawn, had cocktails in the very regal clubhouse, dinner for 200 plus in the front court yard and dancing in the main ball room.
From what I saw the bride and groom spared no expense and it showed it the staff that was always present and ready to serve. The food was flavorful and surprising hot considering it was a bit chilly outside during dinner.
Again it's hard to pick out one portion of the evening over an other but all aspects of the venue, service and all around feel was elegant but not pretentious.
The only change I would have made would have been more heat lamps during dinner....
I suppose you get the point... I was a fan....only wish I had a chance to play the course!
Maybe the Club will throw in a opportunity to play around if I can convince my company to hold our annual executives meeting here.....might be a good point for negotiation.
We have been members at the Nicklaus club since the very beginning. When our daughter was married there 10 years ago it was the very best event and so when it came time to do another big event we chose the club again. Renee gets 5 stars herself for her kind and very gracious help and the club has always had 5 stars in my book.
It was so fun to play here. The holes were challenging especially the back nine where there were elevation changes. The course was in great condition and the service was excellent. Also had a hamburger with drinks for $12 that was a steal. Enjoyed their eggs Benedict with crispy hash browns for breakfast.
Can't wait to play here the next time we stay in Pebble. Better deal than Spanish Bay.
