Boring golf course, total bangers course. If you need a confidence boost play here otherwise drive to Kbay and play some real golf at Klipper.
Have gone the the driving range several times over the past few weeks. I should have reviewed Yelp (as I do prior to visiting most places). Went into the driving range ball machine and saw they only accept specialized coins, which is only purchased at the Pro Shop. So, I walk in no other customers (totally empty) and asked to buy the coins for the range balls. And just like most of the reviews about the staff's professional customer service...all I got was "you need anything"? More times than not, I get that approach...like they were doing us a favor!!!
Then after they get your money, give your tokens; it seems like they try to find something to do just to get away from interacting with you (the customer...it seems they are failing to realize that we pay their salary, regardless if it is a just a hourly p/t or a NAF position and give them a reason to have that position available to serve the military community).
Each time I walk in and get tokens for the machine, I'll ask the attendant if they do lessons and try to ask to find out which it the best of the two pros to get lessons. Each time (only one exception) I get the very minimal assistance...here is a paper with their info to call them and schedule an appointment.
I've only interacted with one person that actually provided some advice to which golf pro may be best suited to my needs. Wish I got his name, but when I get it I'll definitely leave a positive customer comment for him.
The others need a refresher on customer service training. As all customer service based agencies are required/recommend to perform on an annual basis. I know because I am a Manager for an AF unit that serves 90,000+ customers annually.
Do not waste your time going here, the employees are pricks and the course is crap. Save yourself the time and just go to Mamala Bay.
I'm giving 5 stars mainly because of the golf lesson my husband and I just had today. I have held golf clubs twice before in my life. Simon, our instructor, in just an hour, managed to get me from completely missing the ball, to hitting 75% of them properly. I may be gifted in golf (NOT!), or Simon was a great instructor. His instruction was thorough and managed to get me to want to golf again. I can't wait to get back out there and get further instruction from him!
The Pro Shop members were rude with a "better then you attitude". After a few minutes of being talked down to, I quickly decided that I will not be returning to this course. Also, the course was in good condition but the pace of play was very, very slow. They allow fivesomes to play, though it was against one of the rules they were barking at me. I guess you have to know someone in the Pro Shop to break the rules.
