We played the Arrowhead course today (there is also the Tomahawk course there as well, and it's probably better than Arrowhead). Arrowhead is completely boring. It seemed like every single hole was a straightaway par four, with huge, wide open fairways. No fairway bunkers, very few doglegs, very few water hazards. Extremely uninteresting course. As soon as we were done with the first hole, I wanted to leave. About the only nice thing about the place was that some of the water coolers had cold water in them, the cart got us the whole way around the course without dying, and the greens fees plus cart fees were $51 per person (which I guess isn't too too bad). I would never want to play Arrowhead again, but perhaps I could be induced to try Tomahawk. Anyway, if you like interesting golf course design that forces you to make shots, avoid this course. Otherwise, if you're just learning to play golf, I guess this course would be fine, since it's so wide open and relatively easy.
