Great course. Murphy Creek has quite a few challenges, especially the back nine. Keep an eye on where storm shelters are since weather is ever changing. (6, 10, 16 that I remember).
Probably the best overall facility I've ever seen. Challenging, links-style, and the course is unbelievably hard when the winds kick up. The practice facility is probably the best I've ever seen, and if I'm ever in Denver again, I'll be back.
Great course with challenging shots, makes you plan ahead and think about the shot you take. Greens were extremely fast, very tough to read with multiple breaks within one putt.
Nonexistent trees can lead to windy play as it did for us on the last 3 holes, the wind caused our shots to go anywhere the wind took them. Great value for the money on a quality course in aurora. Other courses around here might be a little cheaper but they don't offer the challenges that Murphy Creek does
This is one of the better golf courses in the Denver area. They have great practice facilities and the course is challenging. The grill is full-service and well attended. My one complaint, however, is a big one. They have 5 sets of tees so you can choose the yardage you want to play. My friends and I play for pretty good money and make adjustments for those of us (mostly me) who need to play shorter tees. I compensate by giving them extra strokes for the distance differences. But Murphy Creek doesn't put the tee markers on the proper tee boxes. The 18th hole is 413 yards from the golds. They moved the markers to the red tee box, only 352 yards. The 8th hole is a 172-yard par 3 from the gold. They put the markers on the red tee box--now a short 129 yard hole. This messes up the handicapping system because of the differences in rating and slope. This messes up our bets because I gave up strokes to choose red over gold. And yet the gold tee boxes were OPEN!!! But, you guessed it--that's where they put the white tee markers. Ridiculous.
Great Course - very well maintained and great practice area. One of the best tracks around - and can be very long (& hard) from the tips. I've played a lot of courses in the area and this one stands out as being one of the best.
