Makefield Highlands Golf Club

  2 Reviews

A fun and challenging course, especially for a public facility. Reminds of the wild rough and smallish greens of the British Open courses like St. Andrews in Scotland.

Apres golf in the cozy clubhouse is also a pleasure with a small bar and room for a small dinner party.

Also can't complain that it is the club nearest home.

I went out at 9am this past Saturday with a foursome.  Makefield is a bit of a drive from center city, and its a touch expensive, but it is an excellent golf course.  Challenging layout. Great greens. Interesting holes.  Lots of risk/rewards type of shots from the tees.  18 is a great finishing hole, as well.

I will definitely return.   This is one of the best municipal courses I have played on.
