Lomas Santa Fe Country Club

Top notch course and well taken care of. The course was difficult but fortunately there is not a lot of water so I didn't lose a ton of balls! They didn't have a cart girl when we went which was slightly disappointing.

Played the course many times and was a tennis member for years. It is an older club with a much cheaper buy in for membership. Olympic swimming pool, great summer programs for kids for swimming. But the golf course is another story. Now some people love Lomas and would never, ever change courses. I have played it probably 15 times as I get invited to ladies guest day events. But every time I play it, half way through the tournament I ask my girlfriends politely to never invite me back. It is once again, in my humble opinion, a housing development with a golf course shoved through it as an after thought. If you successfully miss all the trees, good luck missing the  electrical poles and wires on some holes. It is only 18 holes so getting a tee time needs to be done well in advance. Very hilly, cold as it gets its breeze off the ocean and the fog can and does roll in. I am a long but not perfectly straight driver so I spend half my time using my pitching wedge to get out from behind a tree. But I would play it once at least. And Sheldon Callahan is a great pro at the club and has helped my game in the past tremendously.

Great golf course. Greens are kept wonderfully and course is laid out perfect. One of the more challenging courses in SD. Carts are nice but do not provide any GPS so exact distances are tough to judge due to the many level changes on the course. BRING A rangefinder. Range is fun but balls could be replaced for two thumbs up!! I will definitely will be back for another round!!

I love being a member here. Everyone is really nice and the gym is great! The course is a little tough for me, but I guess there is always room for improvement out on the links...

I've been to the gym here a few times as a guest. It's not as ritzy as some of the other nearby clubs, but it's almost better this way.  The yoga/group ex room is smaller, but the classes are not too populated, which I like. The club is never too crowded and there aren't as many desperate women wearing up your ass shorts. If your goal is to quietly work out in a clean and nice gym or do some laps in a relaxing, uncrowded pool, then this is the perfect place for you.
