First few rounds of the spring are complete, and today was the first time returning to Little Creek Country Club for a round of golf since the late summer of 2013. The course is way below average for the condition it's in compared to other courses in the area. The staff have replaced ALL tee boxes with new sod, but the grass is now dead from freezing temperatures last week. So, all tee boxes have been moved forward and the par 4's are now par 3's. When asking the staff when they think they'll be in better condition, the response was "we're probably 2 months away." The fairways are also in horrible condition as far as growth, although there's no indication of water runoff except for hole # 17. The greens are fairly long, but probably the best part of the course. The rate for a military member is $20 which is good, but you definitely get what you pay for. I believe the regular rate will be closer to $30, but you might want to double check. I imagine this course will be losing some business this summer, so I suggest spending your hard earned money elsewhere.
