We went to Pro League Tennis match yesterday. Started off with help for Parking and marketing fund raiser for Friends of Barbara. I am thinking great. Grab a glass of wine and head to get a seat on the court. We were hurridly removed from the tennis court and told we had to sit on the outside of the court in the grass to watch the match. That is was a liablity issue. I have been going to pro league for over 8 years and not once have been told I could not sit on the court. By the time the match we wanted to watch was done the "viewing area" was 5 deep. I really hope Pro League does not use Lexington again as a site. Impossible to watch tennis from outside the court. Went to Heritage Palm earlier this season they had chairs lined up on the inside of all courts! that is the way to run Pro League. IF LIABILITY IS AN ISSUE POST A SIGN LIKE THEY DO AT THE BASEBALL PARKS! YOU MAY GET HIT BY A BALL!
Good food and drinks. A word of caution - they automatically add a tip to every bill, therefore if you don't notice you will double tip.
Had dinner here with the grandparents who live on the premise. They love their club and it's easy to see why. Well manicured lawns and beautiful palm trees and fresh flowers everywhere. Private outdoor smimming pools and large tennis courts also help.
I've had lunch at the club before and dinner was more formal and quite tasty. The starter bread is fantastic! Very savory and I think might have lard in it which helped to enhance the flavor.
I had the 24 hour crispy pork shank was I thought was perfect but I wasn't really feeling the sweet mango sauces paired with it. Grandparents had the beef stroganoff which they've had a lot. Tons of big pieces of beef but I thought the flavors were too dim.
Bf's tuna was slightly overcooked even though he asked for it on the more raw side. The fried grouper was not liked and apparently not very fresh.
Everyone liked the desserts, big plus on the being so small.
