This place is Terrible! Don't Go! Stay Away! They don't take tee times, so it's a "first come, first served" deal. You'll never get out. You'll wait all day!
Okay... now that I 've scared off the hordes... Kukuiolono Golf Course is AWESOME! We stopped by on a weekday morning and got out with less than a 10-minute wait. The green fees and cart rental are ridiculously low and the course is actually in very good condition. Is it a world-class track? No! Does it have some great holes and world-class views? Absolutely! Everyone we talked to said things like, "It's okay, if you're just out hacking it up" or "it's a decent track, for the price." I've got news for you... this is a pretty damn good course and is worth as much as any other "muni" course in the area.
The restaurant/bar area is awesome too! It's a true local joint with great food and excellent, friendly service.
If we had tried this place earlier in our stay, we probably would've have come every day!
This is the most quite and beautiful relaxing place in kauai. This is a one of a kind golf course that is quietly tucked away. The courses are very well groomed and the cart paths are also very well kept. If you are not a golf enthusiast you can go for a quite walk on any of the trails they have. This is a must see if you are in the area or visiting. 5 stars
Let me start off this review by saying I am grading this course and all other courses based on what I feel the value is for the course and the experience I get while I play this course. First, I'll start with the value. This is 9 hole course that is about regulation in length. It is perched on top of a hill with incredible ocean and mountain views. The views here are some of the best I've ever seen, especiaaly by the driving range. To play the course all day long you pay $9. $9 for unlimited play for a course with icredible views? That's crazy good! The fairways here are very wide, the rough is short, and there are little hazards, all of which is great for the recreational golfer. The greens are smooth and roll true, something that Princeville Makai didn't have, you get lots of roll in the fairways, and there is some nice elevation change. Sure, there may be some unmowed wispy grass and some scrub, but it makes the charm of the course even greater. All in all, I wouldn't change a think about Kukuiolono Golf Course.
The price is right if you don't take things too seriously. No complaints about the course. We rented clubs, which were ok, but somewhat falling apart. The afternoon felt comfortable and we really enjoyed ourselves and the view.
*at our visit, not that the course is cash only, and the near by atm is not so near.
A fun, easy course with incredible ocean views. It is a quick nine, that is cheap and fun. The views are so amazing and the course is open and relaxing. Have a fun couple of hours golfing with the chickens!
