We attended a wedding here. First of all, I think the club and golf courses are very beautiful. My friends were married by the cloisters, which may or may not have been flown over from Europe. Regardless, this was a fantastic place to get married. There are two golf courses, and the club suspends play on the closest course to the cloisters when there is a wedding.
The dining rooms were very dark and masculine, and my only complaint was that there had to be two rooms for all the guests (and there were only 120). Therefore, when toasts were given and when the bride and groom cut the cake, guests from the other room had to walk into that room.
We had a buffet dinner and my favorite dish was the beef tenderloin, which was cooked medium and perfect.
This was a great place for a wedding ceremony and reception. I can see why so many people want to belong here and do belong here. The Hurstbourne Country Club is definitely in the top three country clubs in Louisville.
