Needs a major makeover. From the parking lot to the course the entire place gives off a feel that is has been abandoned. Parking lot is crumbling, the pro shop is barren. The course needs work to bring it up to the standards that I have been told it used to be at. The restaurant seemed to be doing a good business the time I was visiting.
What a gorgeous course! I am not an expert on courses in the least... but if its pretty, I have fun, the grounds are well kept, etc... than I have nothing to complain about. My husband and I spent our 2 year anniversary playing 18 holes - the first time in over six months - and we had a fantastic time. The course was incredibly nice, the game was very challenging - a crazy combination of beginner skill and a challenging course, and the service we received was great. Everyone we encountered was extremely kind and helpful. Once I get my technique down, I'd definitely love to make my way back up to HorseTheif... the mountains, the trees, the weather - it was all too perfect. And the food at the restaurant was delicious!
