Really tight course. Watch out for errant tee shots and second shots.
I have played this course several times over the years. I never been impressed with management or personnel but you really don't see much of them. The course is challenging and demands good course management. Their several blind shots and evil dog legs. It is not your go-for-it kind of course, that choice shouldn't be taken lightly. Their are also lots of houses and water everywhere, so be aware.

...and the 1st Tee is quite intimidating :)
Honey Bee GC as sweet as it sounds?
Let me begin by saying I'm not a great golfer. My handicap is around 25. But, seeing as I play Honey Bee quite a bit I'll tell you how it is.
If you are looking for a club that is fancy and has amazing views, you would be squandering hard-earned money by purchasing a membership. This is Virginia Beach and there are plenty of options for your money.
Honey Bee is a great course to play if your are learning the game. It offers all of the usual hazards, it makes you take some shots you normally would not, and for the green fee it gives you all you paid for.
Although the maintenance or the course is not the best, (ie. poorly kept fairways, hard sand, and relatively slow greens.) It is a fun course to play, and again, not overly expensive.
