Played the course, pace of play is slower than should be. Greens are in good shape. Starts out on a par 5! All good with me. I really like the layout and difficulty.
Semi-private course that is so well maintained you would swear it is private.
Can be crowded. However, when you have one of the best courses in Wake Forest and Raleigh, it is bound to be crowded. Afternoons on the weekends are the best bet if you want to beat the crowds.
Links style type course with big pot bunkers that will steal a stroke if you happen to go in. #6 is a par 5 that is the #1 handicap hole on the course but most golfers will not find this hole that difficult if they can steer clear of the water. #13, 14 & 15 are the three most difficult holes on the course (in my opinion). If you get past those unscathed, you will have a good round!
Very fun course to play with great service all around!
The Heritage Golf Club is a very well maintained semi-private 18 hole course. The course was in beautiful condition and the holes were fairly challenging. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The course winds through a housing development, with houses lining both sides of the fairways. Although the houses aren't as close as on other courses I've played, it still detracts from the experience.
The course also seemed to be extremely crowded, with the tee times perhaps to close together. It felt like we were right on top of the group in front of us and had the group behind us right on our back the entire round, even though we all seemed to be playing at a good pace.
All in all it's a decent course to play, but not necessarily a must play.
