Hawthorne Valley has been closed with For Sale signs up for over a year, both restaurant and golf course.
Four of us went golfing here last Spring. We used two carts, but could have walked the course if we were ambitious, and found the course to be large enough for those of us who are not avid golfers not to get overwhelmed.
The only issue I had was that it was very muddy and there were lots of nature made "water hazards" that my ball frequently found. I'm sure in the drier months that would not be an issue. Also there is a terrible sand trap in the middle of the course that took me about 20+ attempts to get out of and if we'd had a video camera we might have made some money on America's Funniest Home Videos....
Nice local course and the price matches what we got so I felt it was a good value. I'd gladly go back again.
