Nice course, not great though. I went on the weekend and found it to be too expensive for what it was (if you can believe that). Conditions are excellent but greens seem to have been played too much this year -- it's obviously a popular course. There's just a lot of ball marks that seem to have gone unrepaired -- I probably repaired 5-10 per green myself. Food is decent, layout is average, there really isn't any scenery. Fairways are great, rough was a little burned out in places. Overall, a good course but I would play Riverview, White Tail or Southmoore all over this place and the price really isn't any different.
Also, one guy on here said this was a links style course. It's not. There's tons of trees everywhere.
Played 3 times this year. This course is in great shape and a great value.
good up keep and fun course to play
Green Pond offers a links style type play with numerous adjacent holes that are tree-lined. Very few opportunities to lose balls here. Fairways are of average width....and fairly flat....and many straight ahead holes. This course is a test of your ability to score on par 4's. Greens here are excellent, and fast.
This course tends to be in fabulous shape early in the season and late...not that it's bad in the dog-days of summer.
