This review is for the Green Garden's Golf Dome, I haven't gone to the course or restaurant but, the dome is a great spot to get some swings in while the weather is blistering cold and snowing outside.
The facility is huge and you can get 100 yard plus drives in with different targets and course obstacles to keep the driving range interesting, the bag of balls has about 50 plus balls and is around $4 which is pretty good considering it is the only facility in the Manhattan area to get some golf in while the weather is bad. The counter offers small snacks and canned beers which is perfect for a weekend break, if you're in the area and some time to waste I'd suggest sometime at the Dome to get your practice in for the Spring.
Awful...just awful. This place used to be such a lovely place to go for a meal. I don't think the current owner knows anything about restaurant management....and certainly not quality. The staff all looked miserable & the food was nasty. Drive 10 minutes North & dine in one of Frankfort's various restaurants that are MUCH better & worth the drive. This place is laughable.
I went last night to hit balls at the dome....they have a different system with the new ownership. Rather than pay by time spent hitting unlimited balls you buy a bucket just like a normal range without time limits. It was $10 for a medium, maybe 75 balls. This is way better, I always felt like I was wasting money if I stopped hitting balls in the old system. I also felt rushed.
The only challenge now is you have to go to the restaurant to use the restroom. After like 3 the restaurant is closed so someone has to walk you over and wait while you use the bathroom. It was awkward and took some time.
The guy told me the bathrooms that used to be there kept freezing ( the pipes). I don't know....how about turning the heat up a bit?
Recently I spoke with the owner on the phone who told me the F*()&( myself when I asked about renting space at his facility. As the owner of several businesses myself I know how important it is that the owner of a company be a good business person. Telling someone to go F(&% themselves for no reason is not good business, I would stay away from this business at all cost. If the owner is horrible that will trickle down to everyone else that works there eventually!
This a great course even in the winter. Now that the cold weather is here, I am looking forward to Dine and Dome on Friday nights.
Check it out no matter what the season.
