Grayson Woods Golf Course

Although I wasn't on the 9-Hole course I was on the 18-hole putting green.  I like the concept of a minigolf course without the childish houses and other colorfull stuff.  I also liked how it was challenging, I never got better than 2 over on that course.

The only reason why I'm not giving it a 5-star is that some holes or flagsticks were damaged.  It was also a little pricey ($6), which was not great, but wasn't horrible either.

It is what it is, this is a cheap golf course that people can afford and great for learners plus it has free range balls to warm up and it has a putting green of 18 holes! Due to the drought it's hard to keep the water scene up!

I play at Pleasanton and Livermore par 3's, and they cost less and are actually nice.  The greens have huge patches of grass missing so trying to putt is about impossible.  The tee boxes are not smooth and have divots everywhere.  Save your money for Los Positas in Livermore or Pleasanton golf center.

I have golfed this course many times as it is really convenient to jump on in between appointments and have a couple hours to spare.  So, yesterday morning around 10am, I called in and a gentleman said to come on in as they were wide open. I proceeded to the first tee box. There was a sprinkler watering the 1st hole. I called the office to let them know and spoke with a gal by the name of Kathy. She gets extremely defensive, does not apologize, and says "this isn't a country club" and to play the rest of the holes.  So, I do.  Problem is there were sprinklers at hole 1, hole 2, hole 8 and hole 9. I understand that they only have 1 maintenance person, but can they water early in the AM or PM like other courses? On top of that, the course was in terrible condition. Greens were badly burned and they were way behind on mowing. Maybe the maintenance person was sick for a week?

This place has so much potential and I want it to be decent so I can continue to enjoy it regularly and also continue to take my son who is 7 year old.  Problem is the course is poorly maintained, and Kathy does not have any people skills. I had a another situation with a groupon the first time I went there where she got extremely upset and aggressive after I simply asked a question.

It's no wonder there is nobody that is ever on this course. I wouldn't surprise me if this place maybe out of business soon...

This is a wonderful family friendly golf course. It is also great to play a round of 9 with 3 friends. Lots of parking, good food choices and great pro-shop.Thanks!
