Members all you can eat prime rib tonight was perfect.  What an excellent atmosphere of friends, golfers, acquaintances and cuisine!

Kudos to the new chef!

Beautiful country club, and we had a private dining area right near the entrance. Door to the patio where you can have drinks and view the greens.

However, their food was nothing like the club itself. First of all, for a party of about 20 or so, service was slow. There were two bottles of wine, one red, one white, and I requested my own glass of pinot grigio. I think they forgot because 15 minutes later, I was still waiting...had to ask a different server, even though we had 2.

Menus were placed on each plate, and they were out of everything I wanted to try. Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Soup. And later on...the salted caramel cake for dessert.

Settled on the pita pizza to share with coworkers, an Asian salad as a starter, and the filet for an entree (yes, I was hungry!). The bread they gave was yummy, plates. We had to ask for that as well. The pita pizza (without chicken) was pretty bland. The Asian salad was just okay, again, not a whole lot of flavor.

Everyone's entrees came with 2 sides, ranging from veggies to potatoes. I chose my filet wtih garlic mashed potatoes and string beans. First of all, the filet was not covered in the bourbon sauce like it said it would. So dry and flavorless that I had to ask for A1 sauce. The sides were okay, but everyone's food was COLD. One person actually sent it back. Many people ordered the bowtie pasta with pesto. I tried a bite. NO FLAVOR. Tasted like unsalted pasta. The main verdict was everyone's food was bland and cold.

Ordered the salted caramel cake, only to be told as other's desserts came out that they were out of it. Ordered the chocolate decadent cake instead, which was decent.

Overall, a great place to have drinks I think, but pass on the food.

This Knoxville, TN golf course has nice undulating hills with a water feature for a handful of the holes.  It's very family friendly with tennis courts, a pool and even a club.
