Fox Hollow Golf course is a fifty minute drive from Halifax, located in the small town of Stewiacke, NS. This 18 hole course has the distinction of being home to my first round of golf, and is also my favorite course to play on in the area. True, it's just outside the town that I grew up in and was the most convenient golfing option, but even despite those factors Fox Hollow would still be tops for me.
Fox Hollow is a great course for beginners because the other golfers and staff are really patient, just as long as you let faster foursomes play through. The course itself is really well maintained which isn't a surprise since it is surrounded by equally well maintained farm fields in this rural area.
If you do decide to stop in to Fox Hollow for a round with your friends it's worth your while to get a membership and take part in their steak dinner offers. It's an affordable round of golf and dinner at a great course, and a guaranteed relaxing time.
