I just read that Flowing Lake Golf Course is Closing Sept 29th. heraldnet.com/article/20… I've never played the course, but hope to get out there in the next week . I've been to Flowing Lake before and it's a bit hard to get out there... it's a long ride though the woods on several two lane roads..
I just golfed there today. The fairways are okay for the most part. The tee box areas are subpar at best. The grass on the greens is far too high and poorly maintained. Tiger Woods would find it extremely hard to make a 10 foot put on those greens. If you don't believe me play a round and count your puts. I will never go back there again.
Fun, cheap play. Greens were slow this morning due to lots of dew from the morning fog. grass in the tee boxes is too long, but other that that the course is good for the money. Scenery as good as it get. Walking up heart attack hill at number 12 is an adventure, as is number 3. other than that an easy course to walk.
Ok the greens are terrible, and the fairways could use some work also, but overall this course is a hidden gem in Snohomish county. Beautiful scenery and a great price are two of the major things going for it. I have played here numerous times during the summer at the twilight rate with one or two other groups on the whole course. There are times when I have been able to fit 27 or even 36 holes in at the twilight rate because the course is short and you can play it in two hours. Great change of pace course, a little rough, but still a lot of fun.
