Scheduled a 6:35 tee time on a Saturday. Management never informed us of a tournament they had scheduled. Got there early. No one one course, but they held us till 6:30 anyway. At 8am the shotgun Tournament was sent off the back just as we made turn. Never was told a thing about it. After waiting for five minutes on the 11th tee, we went in to complain. The Owner was rude and unwilling to own up to their mistake and never apologized. In the forty plus years I have been playing this game, I have never come across a group of more unprofessional people. Will never go back and I'm sorry for the nearly 15 different people I have introduced to that course
Totally unprofessional staff and ownership. It's a shame because the track is interesting. These guys want your money. No honesty. Not worth it
Very nice course with alot of hills and extremely difficult greens. Stay below the hole to avoid the three putts.
The course at the Fenner Hill Golf Club facility plays 6,650 yards from the longest tees with a par of 72 , course rating of 71.8 and a slope rating of 131.
Designed by Ron Levesque/Dennis Levesque, the course opened in 1999.
The course definitely offers every golfer a chance to use every club in the bag. The opening hole is a relatively short par 4 with an elevated teeing ground. A decent drive will put you 130 yards in but the greens are generally pretty hard and unreceptive to going right at the pin. Subtle breaks and bent grass greens add to the difficulty.
There are no forced carries on the front but the back features 5 of them. Bunkers are well-placed although as with much of the Rhode Island courses, the sand itself could be better.
Fairways and rough are always in nice shape as are the greens and tee boxes.
It has a putting green but no driving range.
The bar and restaurant has very good food and the pricing is reasonable.
You can definitely walk the course although it is a bit hilly.
A great place to play.
