Evansville Country Club

Really nice value here, especially the spring specials ($20 walking for 18 holes, $27 with cart)

12th and 18th are butted up to each other at the tees, and my first time went down the 18th instead. Oops. Staff at clubhouse got me back on track when they saw me wandering around staring at the course and the course map for the 13th.

Nice variation of flat, hilly, waters, and bunkers. Well maintained putting greens.

This review is about the restaurant...and, I think technically this is now the Evansville Golf Something Or Other.  There is a golf course here...I've seen it, but I don't golf...

This is one of our favorite places for a Friday Fish Fry.  Not necessarily because the food is spectacular...its serviceable, but not standout.  The salad bar is well-stocked and fairly fresh, there's always some sort of soup...  The menu is varied and has something for everyone.

But you really need to go because the staff are fun, friendly and amazing!  Of course, they're probably amazing because we know them all and we've been going there for years...but still, they're warm and friendly and you'll feel welcome!

Tammy, your friendly bartendress will growl and ask what you wanna drink.  Susan, your friendly waitress will serve you efficiently and with a smile...and a sassy remark  And the rest of the staff will back 'em all up!

So, if you're looking for a place to head for some tasty BOFS (Brandy Old-Fashioned Sweets), some cod or perch...on a Friday night (which is the ONLY night they serve), you'd be hard-pressed to find a friendly, more downhome place to sit and enjoy with your friends.

And say "hi" to us when you walk by!!
