Durand is a fun but challenging course. Because of the amount of rain the area has had the carts were only let out on front 9. Golf now did not advise us when booking the course. I have played this course many times so it was not a surprise to me as this course is known to hold water. I usually play it in summer when the course is dried out.

Although I have not played this year as yet, by the end of last season, the course had improved greatly from the previous years. I believe it was the result of new management, Kless-Myers, and Monroe County taking over the upkeep and grounds of the course.
I did not appreciate the club house restroom facilities not being available to the golfers, inasmuch as I feel as it is the golfers that bring in the bulk of the income. Also, I believe the snack bar could use a great deal of improvement, i.e. open in the AM for coffee, etc., and a better selection of lunches. Thank you for you attention to these matters. A Definate must-play. A Robert Trent Jones course, although it has changed from the original. A Tight, Oak lined course with creeks that wind the fairways. small and difficult greens, many of which are elevated. Very Scenic but a bit pricey for the value. Fun to play.
