This is a nice golf course in Little River,S.C.
15 minutes from North Myrtle Beach.
Course has some pretty challenging holes. Plenty of sand traps and plenty of pond's to lose your balls in to!!
Golf carts are juiced well.
Course is kept up nice.
When we went, it was Oct.29 and we had a 1:00 T-time. There was still a three cart line up, so you may want to take this in consideration.
Club house was fair. Had your typical refreshment area. Bathrooms for the lady's were lame! Dirty and very out dated. They did have a nice seating area in locker room, but that's it. Can't speak for the men's locker room.
Its not bad enough to stay away. We'll probably be back.
This was the best priced course I could find on my vacation to the area. The course was not in good shape; the greens were long and slow, there were bald areas in many of the tee boxes, and the rough was so high and thick that there was at least a 50% chance than any ball in the rough would be lost. The staff (after our round) explained that their main lawn mower had just gotten repaired and that they were going to be cutting the rough. The staff was great and very friendly, and I was impressed that with the $25 fee, it included a cart and a coupon for a sandwich or hot dog and a soft drink. The prices for soft drinks were some of the most reasonable I have ever seen at a golf course. But the old adage that you get what you pay for was true as far as the quality of the golf course, but as a person who isn't used to playing on courses known for their championship caliber condition, I had an overall enjoyable day.
This course has come a long way since May, 08. There is now a golf superintendant & they are making progress on getting the course in good shape. It is still one of the cheapest places to play at the beach without a coupon !
