I am not a member of this suburban country club, but because of their proximity to my parents' house (and many of their friends) we used Colonial for their 50th anniversary party on Saturday night.
The room rental fee was very good; the catering was fine; the alcohol prices were...catering prices. The staff was young, but really great. I worked with Linsey to set the menu and still keep to our budget. She worked with us on room setup and made suggestions to make the party flow better. While the catering does offer full banquet meals if called for, they do not do cakes so that has to be purchased from an outside bakery.
We brought our own sound system but the outlets in the space were really limited so we had 2 choices for setup. The bathrooms were a bit far from the party rooms for the older people with limited mobility and got crowded with our room with 60+ attendees and the wedding across the hall with over 100.
Recommended for an event of 50 to 150 people.
The club does have a golf course, tennis courts, and a pool...we just didn't use any of those facilities.
Nice course without alot of traffic. Greens have alot of indulations.
played here recently and had a nice expierience! although most holes were straight the greens were a bit challenging. they are open to the public for i think $40. i highly recomend!
Played here for the first time last week. I didn't expect much and I was still disappointed. Nothing to look at. all of the holes looked alike - long and narrow. Some of the greens were like something that you would see on a putt putt course. Little grass in the fairways, and none just about everywhere else. Nothing available to eat in the resturaunt. other than that it was a nice place to play.
